This gives me a very nostalgic feeling from when I used to watch cartoons as a kid, for some reason my mind went to a character whose name or species I cannot remember but he used to bounce on his tail (iirc...) and was orange with black spots. Not a cat, but that's the closest I can relate it to with my blurry memory, and I think he wore a blue police uniform (or at least the hat). Anyways very nice toon style and funny troope!
