In Alsace, in Wissemburg, had lived in 15th century the knight Hans von Trotha who was hated by all, mean, greedy, and destroyer to the point of being excomunated by Church. He was hated so much that after his death, his deeds were exagerated and he was described as a violent, thieving, satanical, canibalistic sinner having eaten a shepherd, and that he wasn't truly dead in 1503 like History says but was turned into a scarecrow by God Himself. Ever since, he is said to be hiding in the forest and to eat children who were wandering there alone. On Saint Nicholas Day Eve, he is seen at the side of Saint Nicholas during the Wissemburg Parade, riding a horse pulling a carriage on which caged children cry for help to the crowd, then gets down from his steed to ask children if they have been nice this year. I have drawn him before having read his physical description, oops... no horse no pointy hat no black coat sorry, but I am a little sick so less focused. Next year I'll fixed that, promise!
