Nelneras was raised by a couple of human farmers in the lower west part of Rothdell. They were sweet and kind, encouraging their little bundle of scales to learn about his people and culture. One such event was known as Dracara, a time for celebrating family and exchanging gifts. No matter how large he got, Nelneras would always get into the spirit of it all, expressing good will and kindness to all that he met, dragon, gryphon, human, it mattered not. It would appear he's wrapped a big present for one lucky member of his extended family, but don't worry, I'm sure he spoiled the rest of them.

This gold dragon is one of the protagonists of my new story that I'm writing, Embers of Flame. It's a bit slice of life, as this dragon goes about trying to set up a sanctuary that promotes unity between dragon and non dragons. It also stars a human mage going through a crisis of his own, realizing perhaps being the queen's apprentice when it comes to magic is not quite what he wants to do with his life.
