Some more sketches of my Sonic-style OC, Giraud. I know I'm making him out to be an old grouch, but he's actually a pretty chill guy when he's not having manic episodes. He's had a rough past and did a lot of horrible things, and shouldn't be forgiven without pause, but nonetheless he's spent the last couple of decades trying to redeem himself.

I'm honing in on a mask and fur style that should be easier to draw consistently, but these are just sketches and I should do some actual inks to make sure it works. As for his colors, at first I thought they were too silly and gaudy (think "McDonalds"), but now I've fallen in love with him just the way he is. From his matted fur to his bizarre mustard-yellow pants, it suits his oddball character. Most of my new Mobian OCs are pretty strange, and they should be dressed the part.
