This is an old fashioned sweet treat perfect to quench the thirst with a raspberry twist from the kitchens of
felissa
It's getting to be that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere.
Ingredients:
12 lemons
6 oz raspberries
1/2 C sugar
Water
Sometimes I add limes too for a little extra kick
Equipment:
Juicer
Small saucepan
Sharp Knife
Fork
Sieve
3 Qt Pitcher
Instructions:
1. Heat 1 C water with 1/2 C sugar until dissolved (it doesn't need to boil, as long as the sugar is all dissolved it's fine) and set aside to cool.
2. Juice your lemons! I juice straight into the pitcher and set aside the pulp in the sieve to press further.
3. Dump your sugar water in with your lemon juice and use the saucepan again. Press the raspberries in the sieve into 1C water until it's a seedy mess (pun intended) and press all the water/juice out. (you're not heating it or anything I just reuse the saucepan instead of adding a bowl to the mess in the sink)
4. Add your raspberry juice into the pitcher and fill the rest of the way with cold water.
5. Refrigerate and enjoy!
