New fursona—say what? Wheel Bite is still my main fursona, but I wanted a fursona with a more natural color palette and more subdued personality.

I live in Appalachia and grew up believing in fairy diddles, which I understood to be squirrels with super long tails that live in ceilings. Turns out they do exist as the name describes a number of different animals—mainly nocturnal flying squirrels. I got the idea that Cade wanted to fly but didn’t have wings flaps, so they knit and crocheted a bunch of “wings”.

Cade and Wheel Bite are just different sides of the same coin.
