One example that could’ve given better potential to the ratchet and clank movie is better visual jokes.

Imagine during the ranger training scene, Ratchet presses a button on his suit and it suddenly inflates. Making him look like a lombax balloon. Qwark explains that this is the proto-suit’s airbag feature, designed to bounce off enemy projectiles and get to place to place quicker by rolling and bouncing. Ratchet then loses control of his bloated suit by bouncing all over the place.

Cora quickly deflates ratchet’s suit, and this sets up a joke where the suit makes a rude noise as it deflates. The others would think ratchet’s passed gas from the basement, but he would quickly say that it was the suit that did that.
I know it’s a low-hanging fruit of a joke, but anything would be better than what the movie considered jokes. (The throw up scene still gives me a chuckle, though)
