Original description: During this August, circumstances (and being inspired by Kitty Kart 64) made it so that I had to revisit a childhood classic game that I loved so much and still holds up so well to this day:

Diddy Kong Racing DS.


I actually played as Krunch for most of my new playthrough and I beat the game with contemptuous ease. It was really fun! Though I did try out Pipsy and Timber too since I never gave anyone but
TT a chance back when I first played the game.


And with the nostalgia overwhelming me, I actually decided to create a new character for Street Soul, inspired by Pipsy, and the fact that she was originally going to be a character named Astro Mouse. And her name is Hexa!


She's from a race of mouse people who I've yet to fully develop who are at least partially robot. They're pretty dang similar to the Mabs, truth be told, it'll be exciting once I finish developing
'em! The rest of Hexa's info is already written down on her image, which shows how proud I am of her.


Retrospective: The Crowning Jewel of my August 2024 art for sure!

I can easily tell that Kitty Kart 64 led me down an amazing path! Inspiring me to play Diddy Kong Racing DS again, causing me to fixate upon Pipsy, and then being inspired to create Hexa as a result! I put a lot of effort into her backstory as well and even put a nice little reference to Pipsy on her too. Hexa is my favourite of the new characters I made this year and I love her so much! And her species, the Scrapsies, will be quite fun to draw as well!
