For so long murk and gryphon had been at odds, the parasite taking control as the gryphon's mind lay dormant and body succumbed. But this arrangement was never ideal, how could they ascend with such limited access to hosts. They would have to evolve, absorb and integrate far more! With little success, the attachment of a murkmind was attempted, penetrating even the most powerful of psyches. It was only a matter of time until it began to snake its tendrils into the host's mind, corrupting everything it touched until their worldview was irreversibly twisted. With every step more of the gryphon's mind opened to the alien feeling of euphoria and wonder, accepting the entity as it conquered more and more. It enveloped itself into a dark cocoon, ready to complete its metamorphosis into a new perfected organism as it finally claimed dominion over its host's mind with promises of grandeur and power.

The cocooned creature's eyes opened in azure fury as it ripped apart its fleshy prison. The mindmeld occured so forebodingly easy, so awfully efficient.~ its body was adorned with ebony scales, body refined and dangerous. Host and parasite had become one, in perfect harmony. A mind unified in its purpose... a purpose to suffuse and expand the knowledge of the hive, spread this wonderous song to others. We have been given purpose, and the agency to seize the world at our gooey claws.~

So many minds to touch, so many to enlighten. A world to conquer.~
