Veado Velho the Deerlich w/Backstory
A new OC from the mind of my soulmate
Spirit.Wolf. As usual, he does the art and I do the writing!
Meet Veado Velho, a brand-new addition to our connected universe! He's a villain created specifically for the setting of my medieval ferret ranger, Desmond Forrester.
Veado was once one of the lower class, and the secret lover of Desmond's father Julian Forrester. Eventually, they were found out, and Julian didn't hesitate to throw Veado under the carriage out of fear for his own future. Veado managed to escape but became a life-long fugitive of the nobility and a social pariah. He made his way as an adventurer, traveling the world and taking odd jobs before he found the secret to lichdom in an ancient owlin library. After years of practice, he became a master of the arcane, but he needed one last piece of the puzzle before the ritual.
It was then he found the final key to ultimate power in an ancient temple, a necklace with diamonds made from the crystalized seed of a dead fertility god. The Pudendum. With this relic, he underwent the ritual and became a lich, anchoring his soul to the mortal realm with a phylactery. Nigh indestructible, immortal, and ageless, Veado now had all the time in the world to plot his revenge against Julian. One side effect of using the Pudendum for his lichdom was that Veado needed to regularly consume the seed of virile young men to maintain his youthful mortal appearance.
It wasn't long after he attained lichdom learned that Julian had a son, who had abandoned his family to become a Sentinel.
Now Veado lurks in the darkest depths with legions of undead, waiting for the right moment to capture Desmond, consume his seed to revitalize himself, add him to his undead army, and force him to kill his own father.

The name was actually
Spirit.Wolf.'s idea. Velho is actually Finnish for 'sorcerer,' though it means 'old' or 'old man' in countless Latin descended languages.
