Young adult Neville and Enoch back then when they were pals.
Young adult Neville and Enoch back then when they were pals.
Despite being rather inactive lately, I’ve been actively sketching and developing the story.
For one thing, Enoch’s character has been changed a lot since the very beginning. Initially he was just a minor character, a cocky, upper-class jerk, who served as an obstacle for Neville.
And now he has became the antagonist/secondary protagonist.
Contrasting to Neville’s sulky-snarky nature, Enoch’s this suave, gentle giant. He’s still causing a lot of trouble to Neville due to his strong sense of justice paired with naivety.
Also, despite his rather mellow nature, he’s still got his own inner demons and he’s trying his best to hide them.

I'm still a little confused by your depiction of Enoch. So far, everything you have said about him seems to paint him as a good hearted character with a strong sense of justice. And yet, multiple times you refer to him as the antagonist or a jerk, when it sounds like he just prefers to the see the best in those around him. Am I missing something?
Thanks for your question! ^^
What I actually meant is that last year, when I started to work on this story, Enoch has originally started off as a jerk, a mere obstactle, but then, as I've tried to gave his character more depth to be more interesting, I've changed my mind about him and he became a secondary protagonist of the story, alongside Neville. For this, I've also changed his personality, because Nevs tends to be rather bitter and cynical, I needed a contrast here. Therefore now Enoch's character is the opposite of Neville's. Nonetheless, he's still an antagonist from Neville's perspective, or at least, a rival. But this rivalry is only one-sided.
