In merry halls of Yuletide's festive cheer,
A jovial fox with fiddle took the floor,
His plump form dancing to each lively air,
As he did play a jig beyond compare.
The guests, in wonder at his skill so fine,
Did clap and cheer, their faces aglow,
As, with each note, his bushy tail did shine,
And his round belly bounced, as if to show
That music was its master, full of glee,
It moved to every rhythm, wild and free,
As if it had a life of its own, apart,
And danced to every beat within his heart.
So lest the final chord ring and fade,
The guests, in eager dance, did parade.
