This is such a nice photo! I didn't realize their feet were flexible enough to scratch their heads. They just seem like such tall and stocky birds.

Birds have ridiculously flexible necks. Owls are most famous for it, but most birds are perfectly capable of looking directly behind them so they can preen their own back feathers.
