You are 100% correct. I recommend building a separate resume focused on ATS. You start with the ATS resume, clean up the form, and then reupload with your for-human-eyes resume. See the below link for more details: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57439121/

Oh, no, I was just laid off along with a lot of others in a "strategic decision to divest from information security." It was the various career coaches and ATS experts who gave me that information about my career being over... Well, that and the fact that I have barely received any responses at al.
