he IS a bull aurochs, plain and simple, but the reason he is able to do the things he does is by virtue of a cosmic anomaly that tells whatever universe he's in that he doesn't exist. that's why he lived a LOT LONGER than an ordinary old cow (several millenia) and is as strong and smart as he is (compared to others of his species). also the whole human form thing arises from any reality he inhabits not caring how he appears to the eye or interacts with tangible objects. so he specifies these things himself.

in simple terms, he's a demon. the word i chose is ascellus (demon seemed hokey and overused). there are lots of other ascelli, of almost any animal you can think of.
