This is one of the newest educational birds at MRCC. Nigel the Saw-Whet Owl. He came in with a broken wing, and it never healed properly, and the feathers aren't growing back where he was hurt either so he isn't able to fly. Instead of putting him down we applied for an education permit for him, and got approved. So far he's been awesome at programs, he's calm on the perch while being watched.
