Yes. lol It was just being shown to a child's birthday party when we accosted the ... What do you call the people that work in a zoo? Anyhow, we accosted her to see him. Armadillo's don't like children I guess.

This is a Three Banded Armadillo. Only the Three Banded can curl up into a ball like this. No other species of Armadillo can do that.

You are most welcome! Most armadillos are not very keen on being picked up and handled. To them I imagine it seems like they've been grabbed so something can try and eat them. Some people actually take advantage of the poor things. I've heard rumors of Mexican children finding these little guys and playing soccer with them when they roll up! It makes me mad!

But I guess what can you expect from children... They often don't know any better. Its when adults do something stupid like that that really gets me angry.
I recently had an exchange where I had to help animal control pick up an injured seagull because some dick had hit it intentionally with a football and broke its wing almost entirely off. THAT made me very angry. As an adult the guy should have known better. I just don't understand how people can DO something like that and not feel like shit!

For every good, decent person like you in the world, there has to unfortunately exist a polar opposite. Most people who hurt animals like that do so because they can't do so to other people. They see hurting the animals as an outlet for their aggression that they won't get punished for. Most people like that however eventually do escalate to hurting other people though. Some people are just natural dicks!
