Commission for
Enrise89, who's once again provided me the lovely opportunity of drawing their wolf girl Luna alongside her new identity, Clair DeLune! You might've seen Clair before when she kidnapped Hongcha to make her into a proper belle (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58641566/), but I actually started on this reference sheet prior to said comm to get a feel for how I should draw the she-wolf in other art. Happy to have expanded it into a full reference per Enrise's request; she'll make quite the lovely henchwoman to Ms. Belladonna!
Age: 28 (120cm tall)
Strong Point: A capable fighter who adapts to any technology and any situation.
Weak Point: She'll take on any job with a high reward, but doesn't always realize what the job entails.
Likes: Fashion, shopping, Stracciatella ice cream, auto-closets
Dislikes: Strangers (it takes her a while to trust people)
Backstory:
Luna was kidnapped by a mercenary group when she was a child; she lost much of her childhood to the training she was forced to undergo, and hardly remembers her own parents or her mother's face- all that she can remember was her birth name. Still, she adapted to the new line of work easily; uncaring of the morality of her missions, she'll take on any job if the pay is good enough. Her naivete with jobs led her to trouble when she took a bodyguard role for Belladonna the Rabbit, being unaware of the belle's intent to make Luna a more elegant kind of lady (see here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57780462/).
Bella was so impressed by the she-wolf's talent (and the ease with which her mind slipped into a more elegant role) that she extended Luna's contract, making her a full-time right-hand woman under the new name of Clair DeLune. As an all-purpose assistant for Belladonna's "Fleur Fatale" arms company, Ms. DeLune certainly won't be worrying about a place to sleep or a next meal anytime soon...
Personality:
Luna takes mercenary work quite seriously and is well-aware of its risks, but you wouldn't know that by the sly, playful mockery she makes of both employers and enemies. On the surface, she seems unflappable at all times, but deep down she keeps almost everyone at a distance- it takes time for her to trust others, especially for them to become friends. Her personality was altered by brainwashing microchips installed by Belladonna (both in her golden hair bow and surgically implanted into her head) to be more obedient and eager to please, but her snide superiority complex towards foes has only increased with the rabbit's elegant influence- she finds herself inexplicably devoted to her new 'Madame' boss, like some romanticized maidservant, but anyone else will struggle to find themselves in the she-wolf's good graces. (Though perhaps due to the old-fashioned influence she's been reprogrammed with, Ms. DeLune is a bit easier to swoon with some smooth poetry or a bit of chivalric flirting...)
Powers/Abilities:
Through her mercenary training, Luna is proficient in many kinds of ranged weapons as well as close combat. Normally she uses guns for midrange combat, and has two Chaos energy generators in her spiked bracelets that can charge her fists for up to 5 minutes- through this, she can stun organics or damage machines, and the 'charge time' for her gauntlets can be extended through an Overcharge, but doing so risks backfiring painfully against her.
Under her 'Clair DeLune' persona, she carries a pair of Chaos Drive-powered revolvers & is a lightning-quick draw with each, fitting to her Madame's nature of deadliness hidden beneath beauty. Her hand-to-hand combat skills were changed to a ballet-inspired style of weaving around opponents, using their own moves against them to quickly and efficiently take them out- while not as useful against multiple foes, Clair was given a pair of shock gauntlets that allows her to more efficiently take out foes one at a time via paralyzing electricity.
