It has bean a while since I wrote something more fantasy like, but still here is a little teaser story for that art!Deep in the harsh wilderness, far from the great civilization of the great city of Sinder, stretched an ancient mountain range where winter never ended. Mountain Blairmore, as the people of the small village of Tergaron called these mountains, lived in harmony with the harsh nature and the wonders it created. In this seclusion lived a small arctic fox, who wandered through the wilderness of the mountains, always looking at the world with curious eyes, seeing the good in every corner of the earth.
On that day, small snowflakes fell, little icy crystals that melted on the Arctic Fox's fur, while his blue cape was whirled by the fresh wind that carried the scents of the forest. Alone, he trudged through the deep snow that covered the harsh landscape before stopping in a wide clearing. His ice-blue eyes looked around intently before he nodded to himself and slowly closed his eyes with a broad grin on his lips. He raised his ebony staff as his lungs exhaled a much cooler cloud of breath and the snowflakes began to condense in front of him.
More and more of the small snowflakes swirled around, beginning to follow the fluid movements of the little arctic fox, before a shape seemed to slowly awaken from the distance. Wild and beastly, this veil of snow looked, igniting a bluish fire that was reflected in the snow, and one could hear a cracking and groaning awakening, as if the snow was being crushed under the paws of a wild beast. A whisper joined the snowstorm as the little fox began to open its ice-blue eyes and its lips moved to the whisper of the wind. As if from nowhere, the white sea was illuminated with a bluish glow before a Feral paw awoke, and slowly a body resembling a wolf, though slightly smaller, began to take shape. More and more it could be seen how the bluish glow slowly took on a natural form, already the first strands of fur swirled with the wind and the shiny bluish markings awakened, forming a pattern that began to adorn the body of this wolf-fox hybrid.
With a last whisper from the Arctic Fox, the swirl of snow disappeared before a playful growl awakened, "My little fox has done it again!" The hybrid's tail wagged, swirling up the snow behind him before he leapt up at the fox and peppered him with small licks. The impact made the little fox gasp slightly as he was pinned to the ground, feeling the wet tongue lick his face before he giggled, "I... I did it! Daaan! Hey... careful... I'm not a candy cane!" With blushing cheeks, Anouk looked up at the hybrid and licked his nose, "Mmm, it's good to see you again and spend some time with you~," the little fox rumbled, while Dan rolled off the fox and sat down sideways on all fours. Somewhat proudly, Anouk pulled himself up, leaned against Dan and smiled contentedly.
It seemed that magic had done something, united two friends, and yet it was only temporary, for as much as the little fox enjoyed it, this fragile magic had a limited life... at least as long as he had not yet fully mastered it.
