until now not a single hard drive has crapped out on me^^
personally i love to save. a lot. and i always have multiple saves for a single game. on the PSX i HATED that i only had 15 blocks available on a regular memory card XP but on my PS3 i can have them wherever i want. on the HDD, on an USB stick, on an extertal drive.
for my PSX i had like 6 memory cards and i never knws what save is on which card XP
then there were games that listed full blocks as empty and would just overwrite saves (im looking at you, FF VII...)! or games that needed multiple blocks for a single save...
i hated it...

I'm a memory freak too.... The more the better. But I still dont trust the drives Dx
I had a PS1 memory card with 4 LED's on it... Basically it was 4 memory cards in one, hold select and press R! to change to the next light/card :P
(You had a PSX?! 0.0 http://bit.ly/7NH6j Lol)
But I agree... the lack of memory through the consoles via flash memory was a bit of a downer... The hard-drives have VASTLY improved this.. but are more prone to failure.. although not in your lucky case apparently :P

yeah i know those memory cards where you can change it by pressing select anr L or R^^
oh and no, i didnt have that :O every time i have seen someone refer to the original playstation so far they called it the PSX :P i think thats why i got that wrong.
and memory cards liked to fail, too. at least the non-sony cards failed a lot

Useful things weren't they xD
Lol, I dont expect many people to actually have the "PSX"..only ever released in Japan xD Yeah, the PS1 nearly always gets refferec by that name anyways. I was playing with ya :P
I never had a memory card fail at all.. be it a sony one or the (countless) unofficial ones I had 0.0 I still use the 4 light one todaya fter... well... a good 10 or so years! Lol
