A commission for  Asalis, who wanted an image of a character from a story he's working on. I decided to draw him in his room with the window behind him so I could play with a few fun light and shadow effects. Half the stuff I did here I was terrified of messing up, but it all worked out in the end I think.

This is a pen and ink picture on 9x12 bristol board colored up in copic markers. There's also a little bit of colored pencil and gelpen. Some of the lighter subtle effects of the image were lost in the scan as tends to happen sometimes, but my goal was to make the background sort of cool colored and make the foreground character warm so he looks content despite his environment.

I'm sorry if I was extra spacy during this stream, folks. I've been a little harried this week and I think it all came crashing down on me last night. So if I blew you off or said something silly (or stupid) I apologize. I had no brain.
