Finally managed to finish a ref sheet for one of my absolute favorite DnD characters I've run - and decided he ought to be an OC to use in more stuff haha.
Loghaen was originally a human in a quaint town near a great forest. He lived as a militia warrior and woodsman, unassuming but friendly. He dreamed of being a hero one day, but never felt he could really go out and do it. Then, one Midsummer Eve, he found himself deep in the forest and stumbled upon a wild and colorful party. It was a feast attended by all manner of fey creatures and talking animals. Somehow, the lad had crossed into the Fey world unknowingly - but the partygoers were all too happy to invite him to join their celebrations. Utterly charmed and overwhelmed by the mirth and sensations, he accepted - with no knowledge of the consequences. He spent hours eating and laughing and playing with new friends all through the night. Then, he finally decided it was best to head home. But when he returned to his home - he found his town completely unrecognizable...and himself even more so! No longer human, he found himself with the lower body of a horse or elk (he never was sure which). And nobody he knew was even alive anymore - he had been gone for over a century!
His memory of the times in the wilds - or even before his return - are generally hazy and forgotten. And with his old life long gone now, he decided he could only do what he recalled dreaming about as a child - becoming an adventurer. He sought out mentors and employers to start his career...though his new body was a bit hard to fit in with society. Most surprising of all, he soon learned he had gained powers from some mysterious benefactor. But the kind human decided these powers were meant to protect others and fight for good and defending the natural world. As he has worked to grow his abilities, he has come one step closer to figuring out his new destiny. But no matter where he goes, he always looks to make new friends and live life to the fullest in every way he can.
I love taurs. Love them. And I'm so thrilled with how this has turned out. Hope you all like him! I can't wait to do art and stories and roleplays with him.
