A short sequence revolving around Angie, a young Child of the Egg from my stories. Made by the artist Pameloo https://www.deviantart.com/pameloo. I've added a snippet to each image to add to the story the series tells.
Angie reeled with her ears and fin drooping unhappily.
Why...why is mommy crying? I just wanted to help!
Realization struck the poor child like a bolt of lightning.
Mommy and Daddy are afraid of me! They think I'm bad! I...I don't...I didn't want to be big and scary like this either! But I'm still Angie! I'm still their little girl!
A plaintive whine burbled up from her chest to shake her throat as desperation clawed beseechingly at her mind for an answer to who or what she was.
...Aren't I?
Frenzied thoughts of doubt chased through her head and, without realizing it, her wings extended above her in preparation to flee. Tears collected in her great, soulful, eyes before tumbling down her scaled cheeks. Her muscles bunched as the turmoil that her attempt to help had brought to her and her parent's minds became too much for the young Child to bear. With a blast of air that whipped against her parents, she fled with a keening wail of denial that drew all eyes to her in the sky.
