The youngest and last of the first litter in the Lilac-Pagonis family! This was an incredibly fun project to give myself. I hope to maybe one day use these characters more
Gwydion Lilac-Pagonis is the youngest of the rabbit soldier Valerie and lion tournament fighter Alcaeus' first litter.
Although the rest of the family found their spot in the dynamic very quickly, Gwydion was a bit more quiet than the rest of the kids. As he grew, he would spend more and more time away from the rowdiness of the others and find more quiet places to be on his own. A particular spot that Gwydion would enjoy would be the family's garden. At one point an activity of Valerie's, he took the responsibility from her of tending to the flowers and herbs out in the stillness of the yard.
While Gwydion was still young teens, he found himself exploring the house and found himself where normally he was not supposed to be. He found where his parents had stored trinkets and items from their adventuring days, before he and his siblings were born. In this collection, he found a strange looking sword. The sword was highly intriguing, and intricate. The short blade looked fairly dull, however the guard was highly intricate, and contained a rather curious gem on the pommel. Something was screaming in the boy's head to hold this sword. Gently he placed his hands over the grip of the sword, and grabbed onto it. Once he did, he felt a wave of energy come over him, along with a voice barking in his head!
"Finally, I am wielded by one who is worthy! Let us conquer all and-" the sword pauses, "who is this? A child has come to wield my power? Surely a jest! Speak thy name, who dares to claim me?"
"I- I am Gwydion Lilac-Pagonis s-sir uh- sir sword. I apologize for I did not mean to wake you."
"But wake me you did, little Gwydion, and my power you shall have. Though tread carefully child.. You, son of Lilac cannot speak of me, for your family would not wish for you to have this power and surpass them." Young Gwydion nodded, heeding the sword with baited breath.
"Then what must I do?"
"We must leave.. Leave to hone your ability and never return." Without a second thought, the young rabbit packed a bag and ran away from home to hone his magic, much to the panic of his family's discovery! This led to days and days of searching while Gwydion learned the ways of the sword's wild magic. It was unstable, and would sometimes lead to unforeseen consequences. At one point young Gwydion had a beard of feathers appear that took a near day to yank out, or another instance when a fireball just appeared right at the tip of the sword near ending him instantly!
Days turned to weeks, and even into a month. Gwydion had hid himself well from his family, who had still been trying to find him. The boy had learned much from his sword, and the sword had learned from him.. It was one day that the sword had finally asked the boy.
"Do you miss your family, young man?"
"More than anything, sir sword. Though loud and rambunctious they can be, I do miss them. I miss my siblings and their bickering, and my mother and father's tender care."
"I must confess to you Gwydion, I was not forthcoming with my intentions. I had sought to give you power with intent to conquer and destroy. However with our time together, I see that you are a gentle soul. Perhaps it is you that corrupted me, for the better. I wish for you to feel the comfort of home, let us return."
And return the young man did, and the large family of rabbits embraced him dearly. Though of course not without a scolding from his mother and father first. Really though, they were just happy to see him okay. Gwydion had confessed to stealing their talking sword, and used it to train himself to become a sorcerer, the only true spell-caster in the entire Lilac-Pagonis family! However with discovering this news, his mother Valerie was a bit confused.
"You took that hunk of junk? I had thought your father thrown it away. We thought it to just be an old useless relic."
Today Gwydion is still tends to the family garden, and for the most part is still the quiet child. However he is much more engaging with the family after learning the loneliness of being detached.

Awwww. He looks the youngest too, looking smaller than the others. ^!^ He looks just as gentle, timid, and soft-spoken as you describe him! ^!^ I wanna hug him, but only with permission. Hehe. ^!^ Don't wanna scare the bunny. ^!^ Love how his outfit is giving me magic user vibes! ^!^ Perfect for a sorcerer! ^!^ And it kinda gives me Black Clover vibes with the general shape and the poncho... cape thingy. (I don't know what it's called. XD) Oooo! And it's green and yellow not only go together, but are perfect colors to represent his love of gardening! Hehe! ^!^ And the clasp that holds it together looks like a pair of leaves on a flower! Hehe! ^!^ Speaking of flowers, LOVE that you added a nice red rose as a cherry on top of his garden-loving look! 💗 ^!^ Sooo cute! ^!^ Really stands out amongst the dull green as a bright red! Truly the color opposite. In fact, it stands out amongst the rest of the outfit, given that blue is a major color too, hehe! ^!^ Sweet boy is like a rose. Pretty, sweet, and delicate, but has thorns and likes a peaceful environment--but also company. If that makes sense. >.< Anyway, love the use of a plain off-white shirt to help highlight his outfit and his fur by acting as a base and a contrast, respectively. ^!^ Brilliant! ^!^ The blue pants (yay blue!) go with his eyes and fur, and, like I said, the rose. ^!^ Honestly, red + blue + yellow + green = great combo. Just like in childhood toys. ^!^ Hehe. Nice and comforting. ^!^
Love how his fur and hair are all grey like his dad, but he's a bunny like his mom! With blue eyes! Hehe! ^!^ Sets him apart, like his dad, which fits his character--Both in personality and as a sorcerer. ^!^ Even his hair's length and color matches his personality. ^!^ It's got a quiet, timid boy look. And gentle one too. ^!^ Honestly, I understand his want to run away from his family. (Especially as a teen. Oh, the teenage years... XD) His family's huge, and it was coming given his desire for distance. Glad he learned his lesson and enjoys their company now. Hehe! ^!^ And glad he was so sweet, that he changed an evil sapient sword! Hehe! XD Love that element of his backstory, btw. It seems like most people focus on sorcerers being born, but they're not always! You took that fact and made such a wholesome story with it! Hehe! ^!^ And described being a wild magic sorcerer so well, especially with the number 1 most feared wild magic effect. XD Boom. 🔥 XD Makes me curious as to what this sword is, and why it awoke with him. Hehe! Interesting story developing element!!! ^!^

Thank you very much!! I'm really glad you like him and all the little Lilacs! This story and character was so much fun to make. The introverted odd one out archetype is always a really fun one to make as you have to try a little extra to give them an arc, this extra really turned out for the better - and the sweet I find!
Designing the character was actually really easy, the poncho and sash look with the rose just clicked immediately. You're right too, he's got such a gentle and cute face. I just wanna scoop him up and tell him it's gonna be okay!
This was such a fun project, I hope to revisit these kids again some day. Either by playing them in an upcoming adventure, or maybe just writing up adventures for them on my own. We shall see!!

You're super welcome, sweetie-treaty! ^!^ 🦨💚🐇🍪 Hehe! I'm glad you're glad! And put soooo much heart and creativity into them! It really shows. ^!^ Oh, totally agree! ^!^ Stepped out of your comfort zone for this family and hit a home run! ^!^ Sweet indeed! ^!^ Such a nice coming of age experience. ^!^
Hehe! Nice! I love it when stuff just clicks. ^!^ And I totally agree! 1st thing I noticed was the poncho and rose. ^!^ Hehehe! Yeeees! Snuggle and reassure the precious boy. ^!^ I'd snuggle him too! ^!^ (And make sure I don't stink atm. XD)
Again, I can tell because of all the looooove you poured into your babies! ^!^ Would totally read their adventures, or love to be in a game with them! Or DM it! Or all 3! XD

For a moment there, I was legit concerned that even with how gentle and kind he appeared in the pic, this was going to be the beginning of a story leading to him falling to evil and this was just but a glimpse of him in his younger and kinder days.
That said the idea of him corrupting an evil sword with his gentle soul is amusing and sweet to no end :P
Though I find myself curious (and this could be me not knowing enough about newer/newest versions of D&D) would he really classify as a Sorcerer? Sorcerer's as I understand it have the blood of something powerfully magical in their background (Dragon, Demon, Fae, other such things) and that latent magic is what they tap into to shape magic to their will and command.
This sounds more akin to a Warlock, with the thing that is teaching him and giving his spellcasting ability being the sword itself.

I'm glad that I could keep the suspense going, and subvert those expectations in a good way! Gwydion was definitely a fun story to write, I'm a sucker for sweet. Who would have thought from a cookie rabbit? ;p
Far as the character's class, I decided to make him what's known as a wild magic sorcerer, someone that gets their powers from a chaotic sort of force. In this case a talking sword! You are right these sorts of beginnings are more akin to a Warlock, however I picked a sorcerer purely because I personally prefer wild magic sorcerer over a warlock!
