So Flinters offered up a gryphon lineart (this) for coloring....
So I printed out a copy of the lineart, then redrew and colored it. All traditional. (Prismacolors, 8x5")
Personal muses demanded that the original's TF element be stripped during the transition. Apologies, Flinters, but we both know that you do not argue with picky muses -- if they say something must go, it must go. :)

Looks pretty darn good that way. I like the coloring indeed. The markings really help to define the head shape that the lineart alone could not. I'm pleased to see so many variations of this picture to see how people approach it. You have taken it in directions I would not have and that has been very instructive to me.
