This summer I am working for the Brockton Rox baseball team at Campanelli Stadium, located in my hometown. Their mascot is a really cute kangaroo named K-O (since he is a cartoon-style "boxing kangaroo," so to speak). I have known and loved K-O since 2004 (he was introduced the year before that). Since I now work for the Rox (doing concessions mostly), and since the performer in the suit is a friend of mine (he previously played the 'roo back in 2006-2007), this brings me one step closer in ultimately filling the 'roo's pouch! My friend even let me try the mask on one night after a game!
So anyways, the way K-O works, his costume is mostly fur-covered fabrics, and they have a support of plastic hoops in the body to keep its shape. The mask has a helmet of sorts inside to keep it on straight, and you see out K-O's neck.
K-O is pretty much your typical goofy sport mascot; he loves to have fun, the kids love him, and he does some pretty goofy antics out on the field!
