Well, last I heard (though this is not a strong source, it's a friend that is very interested in the airforce but has terrible eyes and thus can't fly), they're replacing it with the multi-role F-35 over time.
I could be completely wrong about that.
As for the low-flying over national forests thing, I sent an email to the Forest Service asking about it, cause it's always good to not just take things word of mouth. :)

It's always the 1950's in my mind. Shit was nicer then. Life was nice so long as you were white, male, Christian (not catholic), straight (or at or hid it damn well) and weren't Irish, Scottish, easter euro, and were rich...wow...I can't how much they would have hated me back then...
