Basically, Adderfang and Swiftbreeze died shortly after Spottedkit was born, and right after Redpaw and Willowpaw were apprenticed. Here, Bluemoon (Bluefur) took them in, partially so they'd have someone, and partially because by this point, she was already deputy. Thistleclaw, while still a problem in other ways ThunderClan had yet to see, was no longer able to grab that position of power. Sunstar picked her as the next in line. And she wishes she could've spent that time with her kits by her side.

By the way, the cluster of three white stars are Moonflower, Snowstorm (Snowfur), and Mosskit. The two brownish stars are Adderfang and Swiftbreeze.
