The 3 Litre was the sports car that put Bentley on the automotive map. It was a large car compared to the tiny, lightweight Bugattis then dominating racing, but its innovative technology and strength made up for its weight. The 4000 lb (1800 kg) car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, with drivers John Duff and Frank Clement, and again in 1927, this time in Super Sports form, with drivers S. C. H. "Sammy" Davis and Dudley Benjafield. Its weight, size, and speed prompted Ettore Bugatti to call it "the fastest lorry in the world."

looks like a Bentley speed six, and your correct about it not having a supercharger, at Le'Mans the Germans pasted them in the SSK and hundred series K roadsters due to them having supercharges, but once Bentley decided to step up and attach a supercharger to it, it flogged everything, those things fetch a coupla MILLION pounds these days.

Very!! I randomly saw one a year or more ago, it drove past when i was out walking- needless to say it turned quite a few heads

I'd love to get my hands on one, especially the 'blower' version

here where I live, there are several Ferraris, a late teens Rolls boat tail, and many much newer Rolls', I myself have a 1959 Skoda Octavia coupe. its fun here in spring and summer when the jewels start coming out.
