It needs to be sanded and such and then I need to cut the jaw, eyes and nose out.

I love having a garage! I love fiberglass, it's super light, strong and easy to work with if you have experience with it. This will be the 7th fiberglass head I have made.

THIS IS NOT A METHOD FOR EVERYONE, IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND REQUIRES A LOT OF SAFETY MEASURES. A MORE SAFE METHOD IS CASTING RESIN

How breathable is fiberglass? That seems like it would retain a lot of breath moisture and heat.

Hmm, out of all of my heads the fiberglass ones are the most comfortable when it comes to heat in my opinion and they dry quickly. I could see it being very muggy if the jaw was left closed but I make all of mine movable. Air flows so nicely through the heads unrestricted by lost of foam and since the jaw can move, the nose is open as a vent and I vent under the ears there is always fresh air.

And by" the nose is open" I mean the nostrils are hollow

Which heads have you specifically made using fiberglass?
Just curious, I want to see the final product of these. :)

Do you apply the fiberglass over the outside of a form or in the inside of a form? and how many coats to you use? Btw, fiberglass stinks and is not a good idea for someone with skin allergies because of the chemicals. It is extremely durable and light weight though.

I do make sure to seal it before it's used, it does have a pretty strong scent.

Yeah, lots of people forget that step lol. You stuff looks nice though it must be super comfy to wear.

owo Am I wrong? or is Fiberglass the material that splinters and is really itchy?

Yes the fiber glass mesh is indeed scratchy and itchy, gloves are needed to work with it, resin is added to make the shape and of course to make it smooth as seen above.
