Ever since leaving her home, Mathilda has taken on the guises of a traveling warrior, a dutiful soldier, and an honor-bound general. Yet, during all of those years, Mathilda never truly got a chance to showcase her “true” self; and as a result, no one knew that she was actually a noble of great influence and wealth. This can mostly be attributed to her promise to keep her noble status a secret, lest someone try to take advantage of her or her status. It was even after safe guarding this secret for so long that one of the only people who knew this was queen of the Hoarcrest kingdom; which was only possible due to Mathilda unintentionally letting such information slip. It wasn’t until she made it back home to the Snowbriar estate that Mathilda began to dress as the noble she truly was; dressing in lavish and expensive clothing that gave no doubts as to the difference in her status. Of course, as Mathilda had been gone for 20 or so years, her old clothing would be unable to fit her as she had long since outgrown them. So, Mathilda had to ask for some of the servants to take her measurements and order some brand new clothing; attire that was befitting of her and the Snowbriar name. Needless to say, what Mathilda received was a beautiful ensemble of expensive fabrics and kissed by the gemstones her family is known for. Adorning the circlet given to her by her mother, Mathilda smiles with her painted lips, ready to relax and enjoy the benefits of her noble blood; much needed respite after the years of vilification and hiding. Nowadays, instead of getting clad in armor and weaponry, Mathilda takes to draping her body in refined fabrics and jewelry. Given everything Mathilda’s been through, I’d say she earned some time to be pampered and waited on for a while. Wouldn’t you say? *TRIVIA: Mathilda learned various things such as how to make tea from her mother, due to the former’s travels. If Mathilda decided to simply live life as a noble and nothing more, she more than likely would not have learned these skills.
