OC I made as a reimagining of a dragon I drew when I was 8 (I recreated the original from memory here ). The original was named "Nissan" which was combining the Japanese words for "two" and "three" with some... dumb 8y/o logic of "haha skipping step 1 and always going to steps 2 and 3 and getting into trouble" like forgetting to look before leaping. The biggest thing I remember was the eye being reversed with black sclera and white pupils.

This reimagining takes that design and adds some more going on. I rarely ever added a color to Nissan, so I wanted to make this design black and white as a challenge. To compensate, I wanted the anatomy to really shine through, and so I drew six distinct wings and a very slender figure with long arms but short legs. I made sure to add black in interesting places to break up the visual space.

The character's name is 铁心 (Tiexin), which translates literally to "iron core", but the "心" is often used as "heart" or "mind", hence Ironheart as the second name. Ironheart also goes by an Anglicized version of the Mandarin pronunciation of Tiexin: Tyson. Ironheart/铁心/Tyson has three names, but no general preference on which one is used (unless you butcher one of them haha).

As for who Ironheart is, that I'm still trying to figure out. I'm leaning on male as the gender, but unsure because I have so many guys already (I suppose I can change "Tyson" to "Trixie" or something if I go with girl). I want Ironheart to be a companion of Philip, that way I got 3 guys with tiny s/o's who might be able to all hang out and do big/small things together. For personality, I imagine Ironheart being playful but lacking self-confidence, as I'm leaning toward the backstory of Philip and Ironheart meeting up having to do with Ironheart getting involved in a mishap due to size (Specifically, getting shipped in a crate by mistake).
