The Fire threw out her only Sparks
And flung them through the Trees.
Like Sailors rowing the Dark—
They rowed out toward the Sea.
We watched them reach for the Stars
Yet—we always knew that we
Could never know when—or if—they'd die
Or reach Immortality.
They might like to dress like Stars
And they might think they're clever—
But no matter how far they fly,
They'll never fly forever.
Submission for this week's
Thursday_Prompt though it's kinda a stretch with the word inferior. I don't know how well it works but I just wanted to get it out cause I'm still working on the prompt from two weeks ago XD.
