Granted I still need to cook up a different outfit for my rat-thing sona, but at least Vess looks good here!
For anyone who has no idea what's going on, the Kobold on the left is  fluff-kevlar's Arcane Trickster Kob who happens to be crossbow equipped, and as such, I took notice of her!

The rat-thing on the right is my girl, Yuki, who while not an arcane trickster, and more of a rogue or ranger, but is not above a bit of pocket picking when not called upon to hunt bounties. As such, these two hit it off rather well.

Disregard the modern Joerg Sprave Adder my girl is holding. For any story I may cook up, I will be giving her a more period correct crossbow, either goats foot or Da Vinci made Balestra Veloci or Rapid Loading Catapulta to better blend with Vess and her goat's foot Xbow.

Basic idea I have tossing around is that times are a bit rough for these two and the local township as well. One of the area Nobles is being a pwick.. and taxing the area population harshly to no good end, and this prompts the rat-thing to mark and study the Tax Collecter for a hit, to which end the Bold wants in on the action to fill her pockets with any ill-gotten gains the rat-thing might claim from said tax dude.

That's all I'm saying at this point because for once, I'm rather serious about trying my hand at short comic making, and I don't want to spoil more than I have already. And since this will be a short strip and my first, I'm keeping things simple for myself and going with mostly flat colors, because the real push behind this is to learn the art, and how to make scenes, backdrops, and various poses, character expressions etc.
