When I did the original Bowser Jr sketch, I had intended to redo all of the koopalings as well. I really didn't have the inspiration for them until a few days ago, and there is a rhyme and reason for the way I designed them: Larry was based off Larry King, so he was put into a suit and tie; Morton Jr is hard to deal with so I gave him a bit of a biker look (thinking about it, I should have added a vest) ; Wendy O. is named after the lead singer of Plasmatics, so I put her into one of the outfits he original Wendy wore; Iggy is said to be a mechanical genius, so he was given a mech arm; Roy is a bully so he was made physically larger than the others (and personally my most favorite redesigning!) ; Lemmy was made insane because of the way he is depicted in some official art, he just looks crazy; And Ludwig is said to be the cruelest so I tried to give him a non-chalant look. Bowser Jr, being his father's favorite, is perched up on the blocks, above his brothers and sister.

The background is from scratch but heavily refferenced from sprites and backgrounds from Super Mario Bros 3.

This image took FOREVER to do. Sketching took, maybe, about two hours. Evrything else took about 30+ hours over the course of a few days. My shoulder hates me =D
