Tonight marks the final night when I will accept bids. The bidding is conducted here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/59022977/
It has been brought to my attention that several things could be changed. The thumbnail, whether or not I should pre-write the story and add the characters later, lower the length of the auction, and give more freedom to the YCH slot's personalities. So here are my thoughts: I write this story and learn from this. I think that might be the best outcome. Thank you all for the advice though! I am no stranger to failure, and I enjoy playing the part of the fool. I am always growing as a person and only want to learn more. I still think this style of writing may do better for me.
Here is the overview of what I want to write:
As the chilly winter nights gnaw on the Corpuland Kingdom, the benevolent ruler (YCH1), strives to keep their people united and sated. Despite their inspiring leadership, the once fertile lands lay barren under a hefty layer of frost. The court wizard (YCH2), uncovers an ancient relic hidden deep within ancient tomes that they believe will solve the kingdom’s qualms.
YCH2 retrieves this relic - a jewel-encrusted amulet said to summon bountiful harvests even in the dead of winter. YCH2 creates a ritual with YCH1 as the focus. The ritual, along with the ancient relic, brings impeccable harvests despite the roaring blizzards and freezing winter air. However, the ruler will discover they have an unusual hunger.
The ruler’s meals become feasts that last for the majority of the day. Then, their feasts become festivals, where the kingdom revels in extravagant and exotic banquets. Days turn into bombastic performances with wild elephants dancing on tight ropes made of candy, fire breathers that caramelize massive cakes, and chocolate sauce slides. The wizard finds they have a particular affinity toward feeding their ruler, and shows great pride in doing so.
What starts as a way to nurture their king spirals into a cultural movement that celebrates indulgence as a form of communal growth. The people adore the ruler’s newfound voracious spirit, seeing it as a beacon of abundance in the harsh winter months. The wizard is now fully aware of the ruler's weight gain and supports it by long feeding sessions and pampering the ruler.
Unbeknownst to the ruler and the wizard, an ancient spirit has bonded to the ruler’s soul. It is an ancient spirit of gluttony and greed. As YCH1’s appetite grows, so does their bond to the spirit. The spirit begins to manifest through visions and whispers, constantly persuading the ruler to eat more. Is the spirit a benevolent force that wants only to help the kingdom? Or does it want to make the ruler a vessel for its hunger?
