You would think after like the first kidnapping they would post a guard or lock a door or something.

I bet what is really going on is that it is a pegan ritual for the mushroom people to sacrifice their princess to a dragon every year to bring in the good crops, only the closest thing to a dragon in the kingdom is a giant spiked turtle who is to stupid to eat the princess. Maybe they forgot to tell mario this and he mistakenly brings her back every time only to have the mushroom people offer her back up again the next year. The mushroom people never interfer with bowser kidnapping the princess, only rarely have they been seen giving a short chase after she had been taken. Almost like they were seeing her off. It is almost like them saying "Our princess is in another castle. Quick, place seven taodstools in seven different location. We need to cover this up as bizarrely as possible!"

Luigi's evolved a lot more over the years. Maybe it's just me rooting for the underdog, but I think Luigi can be REALLY awesome when need be.

That and in just about every game I play that has both him and Mario in it, he seems to be rather superior.
