Poor choices in pony names.

Yeah, I was talking to my sister, 
Hotaru04 , during a WoW session and we got on the topic of My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic. I was kind of surprised to hear that Pinkie-pie isn't the main character since shes the one Tessa never shuts the hell up about, but instead its... Twilight Sparkle.
... I'm going to repeat that, Twilight Sparkle.

But yeah, Lexi hates Twilight mostly for the same reason I do. Its a terrible story, has a rabid (literally in some cases) fanbase that will not hear any critique of it without violently attacking those who dare to do so, and so on.
I've got no problem with MLP myself, but Lexi has a bit of a thing about horses and other equines (the real animal people, not furries) in that they kinda creep him out the same way one might get the jibblies around spiders or rats. Dunno why, they just do.
Anyways, yah. Thats my joke. ._.; I wish I could've done the third panel better but I had to rush as it was.

She is both magic pony AND science pony.
Scientimagical, if you will.
Twilight Sparkle is awesome enough to redeem both words completely.
Also contrary to popular belief, her name isn't a reference to the series of books by Stephanie Meyer. She's basically a recolor of Twilight Twinkle (both a G1 and G3 pony) but since Hasbro lost the rights to a lot of the original names, they had to tweak it a bit to keep from breaking copyright.
If she could, Hasbro could hit her with it first, since they had a character named Twilight in the 80's version of My Little Pony, and so could claim that she took the name from them. Which is equally ridiculous.
I do respect you're right to believe differently however, and that you have your own opinion that I can't change. (though I do agree that they should have used a different name for Twilight, though it only makes "sense" if you know of that book series)
