It’s the old Irish parliament building for the Kingdom of Ireland ( pre- 1800 ). The Irish parliament was abolished after Ireland became part of the UK in 1801 and the building was taken over by Bank of Ireland.
After Ireland left the UK in the 1920s, the new Irish Parliament ( the Dail ) was relocated to Kildare Street.
