Rough drawing from an RP I've been doing over MSN, my unnamed character (the black wyvern) is being denied access to the valley of the dragons by an "Upper" while the princess I've been guarding, dressed in peasant's clothes, watches on from behind a tree. In the story, dragons were long ago bonded to human princesses as guardians, and the more selfish the princess growing up the darker the dragon's scale color until they reached a certain age...and any dragon who reaches that age with darker scales is banished.
By the way, those are sharp uneven scales, not fur.
