Who as an early holiday gift got Nioh 2 from me! A game style hes still pretty new too as Elden Ring was his first 'souls-like' kind of game. But hes been enjoying it a good amount yay. Better than hating it! But his improvement is great to see and I'm really glad hes sticking with it. Nioh is a game I've played through about 1.5 times before stopped for a year-ish since I had noone to play with. But thats changed now for sure and I think Nioh does co-op much better than Elden Ring. But as a Mission based game its much easier for them to have a kind of lobby system where the party stays together rather than trying to summon each other for specific fights.
But here we see Levin and Leo looking all serious and adorable in their main weapons at least right now. Levin in Footsoldier armor, what he was able to scavenge for himself before it was time to bonk the demons! And using, for those not aware, a Switchglaive! One of the two weapons that Scales the most with the Magic stat. My former (lvl 224) character was primarily strength and then balanced (I dont suggest leveling like that) build so fists were what I used last time. But to try something different I'm going heavily into life and Magic for alll the fireballs I can want to throw around. So far its going well! I never got the hang of Switchglaive before (but did love the Splitstaff which I'm also using again since it also scales mostly with Magic) but I'm starting to get its gimmick of 'swap into other forms to keep swinging' thing it has. As well as Hatchets on the side as they scale a bit with Magic.
Meanwhile Leo - as the adorable Ninja he us, is rocking the Shinobi gear! As well as some Fledgling Ninja Fists that hes really enjoying! Its likely since its the weapon I knew the best so can answer questions he has about them. But he is trying other weapons too. But their enemy stamina damage is really hard to ignore as well as being very good at blocking. A nice collection of plus if you can get close enough to use them. But he is also leveling Dexterity so he can have all the Shurikens to throw at people \o/
