Glitter Hazard Chrysalis
This is the other "showpiece" plush I made for EverfreeNW this year, though it didn't come out quite like I hoped. Her overall pattern is great, including her leg holes, super pleased with them. (Most Chrysalis plushes don't have holes you can see daylight through, but she does!) Alas my attempt to make her "fancy" with shiny-sparkly fabrics went a bit...awry with the mane and tail. I've used that fabric before, and it's been fine, but either I ended up with a knockoff or something else happened, because this one shed glitter like MAD. I had a warning sign on her at the convention so people wouldn't accidentally glitter themselves. (Though a few people saw the sign and touched her on purpose, lol.)
Also I totally forgot to make her crown. Oops.
She's nearly four feet tall counting the horn, too, she's HUGE. If you check out my bluesky, you'll find a picture that includes my eight year old for scale. https://bsky.app/profile/sparkblade...../3lcdtq5sbcs2b
Gonna try again at some point, though my plans for Everfree next year don't include a giant Chrysalis.

She has a wire structure that supports the wings, and her legs have a 1/2-inch upholstery foam structure that's mostly to keep the holes from closing up under the pressure of stuffing, though it does help her stand with the more lightly-stuffed legs that it requires. She weighs about 20lbs? Not very heavy, it's all fluff!
