Original description: Just a cursed but funny image I did a few days ago.
All she wanted is to reach the finish line but she went to the Bar-Bo-Bay instead. I guess she's callin' out from Scatman's World now!
Retrospective: Ok. Now this image and the thing that inspired it actually REALLY shaped the second half of 2024.
So in really late April, I found about this horror game called Kitty Kart 64 and saw Sunflower's youtube video about it. It's a nice short indie horror that gives you something right out of the old early 2010s haunted gaming creepypasta craze. And while it does have many of the tropes considered cliche it does hold up very well.
What I originally made to just be a cursed and silly image based off of Kitty Kart's misfortune would actually really start to weigh on my mind, in fact! Kitty Kart 64 actually made me want to revisit Diddy Kong Racing DS, an old game from my childhood, and I played it quite a lot from July to September and even October. The game also inspired me to create a similar cat character called Kitt who initially started out as a 3d VRChat avatar but became something so much more and I do indeed have plans for Kitt!
Not only that, but Kitty Kart 64 is also repsonsible for me creating Hexa since I would start to appreciate Pipsy from Diddy Kong Racing as a character too and she in turn inspired Hexa for my cast and friends in Street Soul!
It sounds weird, but this one image is iconic for me. Kitty Kart 64 really caused a huge domino effect in the creative side of my life which really helped me out, as well as show my strange type of humour.
