Magic isn't common in Avonia. Roughly only 5% of the population are able to use it and of those, nearly all have to use a foci. These foci often take the form of jewelry of some kind: often rings, bracelets, or necklaces. Such objects, as their name implies, act as a focus and allows a mage to wield their powers. These are often gifted when their powers awaken, tho no one is sure who gives these gifts.

Atty is a rarity among Avonians. Not only is he among the few able to use magic, he's among the extremely rare few who doesn't need a foci in order to use it. On top of that, he is able to utalize magic of multiple natures, focusing mostly on water and light magics.

While much of his life and background is unknown, the very tall mouse primarily makes a living doing odd jobs while traveling the world. Recently he's taken a young girl named Abigail under his wing once he learned that she had shown similar abilities to his own.

A unique trait he has is the ability to shift his form to that of a small mouse plushie like being with purple magic hat. While he has no actual foci, this is a fact he doesn't let anyone besides extremely close friends know about. Everyone else simply assumes that his in the black choker adorned with a metalic crescent moon is his.
