Perhaps! Though, generally speaking, it's not often a good idea to introduce a foreign species into a region, because it can upset the local ecology... Native red squirrels are very hard to find now in Britain since the introduction of the North American grey squirrel, so I think it's kind of arrogant when people think they're going to "enrich the local fauna" like this. >.>
