I completely forgot that there were manga and anime versions of various stories that Disney also did..._{only prominent thing I know is that Disney kinda copied some of Kimba the White Lion.}

He has a completely different vibe than the other version of Balu.

Sadly they copied about 70% of Kimba and replaced the humans with some Shakespeare Hamlet plot elements.

They tried, but disney threatened the japanese Studio publishing kimba to ruin them financially, if they would not withdraw.

I hate it when the undeserving win anything...but to be fair there's some very undeserving behavior even from Toei Animation, so I should not sit on that for any length of time let it get to me.

Den Stil der Serie kann ich nicht gut wiedergeben. ^^;
Die letzten Folgen sind schon sehr traurig aber schön.

Eigentlich schon. Hab es nur erst nicht gemerkt, wegen der Hose.
Der ganze Anime was traurig und schön.... und das Ende wird wahrscheinlich emotionaler seien, als im Disney Film wo es halt einfach passiert ist

Danke. Ich dachte schon, ich hätte den Stil vergeigt.
Der anime hält sich eher an das Buch, als disney es getan hat. Tragisch wird es trotzdem.

Still gotta give myself the time to watch this adaptation, I'm interested.
As for your version. Love it! I always like that the attire you give to each anthro version is quite appropriate for the context in terms of location or time period.

It is really a great series. I highly recommend.
I think it is allways best to design an anthro version of a feral character according to the source lore. Anything else, in my oppinion, would look out of character.

Remembering the version of Shere Khan from this anime whom made an appearance in the bound tiger series, it's good to see this version of Baloo making an appearance in the bound bears list. Not so easy-going and laid back as the Disney version likely most familiar to us, though he's bearing his captivity with a certain dignity, if from the look in his eyes maybe a little bemused how he found himself in this situation.
