Business at the Burrow starts to wind down around December. People are too busy buying new things rather than getting old things repaired. Emmet will see some of those items pop up in his shop over the following year—it's a whole cycle. Until then, why not relax?

I got this art of Plushie Emmet from  takaalive in December 2022 and for some reason never posted it. I remember thinking at the time that despite his cute face, what we're witnessing is actually the result of some sort of horrible accident.

But the fact that it has happened several times leads me to speculate that either Emmet & Sully both secretly enjoy it, or there's a universe populated by living plushies right next door to this one that the transformational vector keeps tapping into.
