I grow tired of the games.
I grow tired of the waiting.
I try so many times just to be disappointed again and again. Long distance promises that never end up coming to pass, whether through my own faults of theirs. Those who lead me on with fake feelings, only to ditch the mask when it's too late; and they leave a gaping wound in their place.
So I'm not trying anymore. Our emotions run dry, and the chains of regret and disappointment weigh us down; as broken as they are. There's nothing I have to lose. You can't have a nightmare if you never dream.
