I decided to upload an image of my old car as I had a dream I still owned it last night. :P I really miss it, I just couldn't afford maintenance on it any more so had to sell it a few years ago.
A 1989 Nissan 200SX Turbo S13. (Or 180SX in North America)
I owned it from 2001-2006 and it's still the best car I've ever owned.
I think looking back now it's incredible to think it was made in the 80's. The design is so modern for it's time.

i still have a 200sx right now, ill be damned if ill be forced to sell her T.T got her in red, lhd, 1.8 turbo engine, also 89 so the first edition without third brakelight, i have the pignose on it, still not sure if i like pignose or sharknose better... hrmm... but yes... the seats are so damned comfy X.x i was driving home tired one night and i pulled over for a quick powernap, usually i have trouble sleeping in a car but i just drifted away ^^ that car is my happy place.
i think you got your numbers mixed up a little though, the 200SX is the european and australian name, the 180SX is the japanese or otherwise mainly asian name, and the 240SX is the one sold in north america... mainly because of their "emissions" demands [the "we dont like foreign cars, they're too good for too cheap, so either make it do less MPG or we'll demand emissions of a moped" demand] due to this demand they had to put a 2,4L truck engine into it that has 50 or so less horses than the stock 1.8 and 2 litre engines x.x

yeah, catalytic converter is the most expensive part of the entire exhaust system, for good reason of course, but it's damn annoying. mine's all brown and shows signs of going to go bad soon, but it still passed MOT, so i'm happy for now.
my car has failed MOT at some point though, and i had to make a choice, take her off the road so i wont have to pay road tax anymore and just slowly work my way up to replacing what needed to be done and do it manually myself. I've not really got any experience with cars so all this maintenance was my first, but i stuck with the maintenance manual and looked up everything i needed and eventually i managed to get everything sorted ^^ just took me 3 months, most of which was spent on waiting for some financial breathing space x.x, living with my parents helped with that tho.
hopefully sometime soon ill be able to fork more money into parts for her though =3 will have to see what happens
