Eyespots on the wings.... the scariest part considering they're normally to scare off predators. What would make a Red Dragon it's prey?

I tried to make the eyespots kinda muted and not vibrant. Implying that the dragon doesn't need them anymore. Like they grew out of needed the defensive trait.
